Drone attack on Novorossiysk terminal did not affect Kazakh oil shipments

The drone attack on the Sheskharis oil terminal located in the city of Novorossiysk, Russia, has not affected the transportation of Kazakh oil, Kazakh media reported, citing the country’s Ministry of Energy, APA reports.

The Ministry stated that the reception of Kazakh oil and its transfer through the terminal continues “in a fully normal mode.”

In the statement by the Kazakh side, it is noted that the state agency is in direct contact with the company “Transneft” and the situation is being kept under operational control.

Note that the Sheskharis terminal is considered one of the largest oil export hubs in southern Russia and holds strategic importance for transporting both Russian and transit Kazakh oil across the Black Sea.

It is reported that as a result of Ukraine’s drone attack, a fire broke out in the terminal area, an oil depot, several residential buildings, and a civilian ship in the port were damaged. It has been announced that four people were injured.
