Collective Security Treaty Organization has responded to the statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding his country's withdrawal from membership to the organization,
The CSTO secretariat announced that Armenia will remain a full member of the organization against the backdrop of Pashinyan's statements, APA's Moscow correspondent reports
The secretariat drew attention to the statements of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who said, "Pashinyan did not say that we are withdrawing from the CSTO, he said we will decide when to withdraw."
"In this regard, we emphasize that despite the significant decrease in Armenia's participation in CSTO events, it remains a full-fledged member of the organization," stated the secretariat.
Note that during his speech in parliament today, Pashinyan stated that the next logical step after suspending Armenia's membership in the CSTO would be for Armenia to withdraw from the organization. He also mentioned that the government would decide on this matter.
