On February 24 this year, Washington and Paris suspended all contacts with Moscow within the "troika" of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
She said the real situation in the South Caucasus does not allow for a break in the talks.
In this regard, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Igor Khovayev (co-chair of the Minsk Group from Russia - ed. APA) will continue his work in his new position, as Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for assistance in normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia: "His focus will be on drafting a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We hope that our allies and partners in Baku and Yerevan will support the efforts of Igor Khovayev. We are open to constructive cooperation with other interested players.".
