The Russian army has captured 99.7% of Luhansk region, 79% of Donetsk region, 74% of Zaporizhzhia region, and 76% of Kherson region, the Chief of Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, APA reports, citing TASS.
He explained that the success of the Russian army's operations is primarily due to the timely supply of high-precision weapons, missiles, ammunition, and other military equipment.
According to him, during the spring-summer period, a total of 76 important targets were struck, with priority given to missile systems and drone production facilities.
Gerasimov added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the spring-summer period directed all their efforts at slowing down the Russian army's offensive, but they suffered losses, and the strategic initiative is entirely in the hands of the Russian army.
