Armenia’s current activities do not conflict with its obligations to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Mikael Agasandyan, director of the First Department for CIS Countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry, told TASS, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to Agasandyan, Armenia’s statements regarding its intentions to join the European Union are, for now, merely “political declarations.”
"We will continue to consider practical steps. No one forbids Armenia from cooperating with other countries. All EAEU members do this. The main thing is that such cooperation does not contradict its commitments within the Union. There is no such thing yet," the Russian diplomat emphasized.
