Ktrich Nersisyan (Garegin II) has long been removed from office, but together with a group of other deposed individuals, he has seized the supreme leadership of the Armenian Church, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a question-and-answer session in the parliament, APA reports.
“Where there is no spiritual life and where intrigues and fraudulent groups are operating, we have every moral and legal basis to return these sacred monuments to society and to support Father Aram and priests like him. They can restore genuine spiritual life in Armenia,” Pashinyan said, sending a message to the Catholicos.
