Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has addressed the decision to remove the depiction of Mount Ağrı from visa stamps, stating that the issue was never discussed in any talks between Armenia and Türkiye, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
"The issue of the stamp was raised several months ago when there was no theoretical possibility or agreement on the visit of the Turkish special representative. In general, such an issue has not been discussed and cannot be discussed in any negotiations between Armenia and Türkiye," Pashinyan said.
He emphasized that they are doing this "because it is a strategy to ensure the sustainability of the state."
The Armenian government recently decided to remove the Mount Ağrı image from its visa stamps.
