Armenian FM unveils issues discussed during meeting with his Turkish counterpart

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan unveiled the issues discussed during his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan within the framework of the III Diplomatic Forum organized in Antalya, the Armenian minister said about this as he delivered speech at the meeting of the foreign relations committee of the parliament, APA reports.

Mirzoyan underscored that during the meeting, he confirmed Armenia's commitment to the agreement on the partial opening of the Armenian-Turkish border for citizens of third countries and persons with diplomatic passports. He also noted that an agreement was reached on the joint repair of the Ani bridge located on the border with Türkiye: "Currently, specific protocols are being exchanged regarding the part of the bridge near Ani. Unfortunately, another agreement - the partial opening of the border - has not yet been implemented."

The Foreign Minister of Armenia said that the validity of the mentioned agreement was confirmed in the meeting with the minister. Mirzoyan recalled that he gave an interview to the Turkish press within the framework of the forum: "It is important for us to communicate with and introduce ourselves not only to the officials of the Turkish side, but also to the Turkish society. It is very important to convey our positions and ideas to the Turkish partners, as well as to the public, including the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations, at least in terms of proper understanding."
