Armenia will apply to Russia for the extradition of former Prosecutor General Gevork Kostanyan, said Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan during hearings in parliament, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
According to her, Yerevan also intends to secure the extradition of Vahagn Arutyunyan, the former head of the investigative group for the case dated March 1, 2008.
The mentioned individuals are accused of abuse of power, falsifying evidence, and distorting the investigation into the March 1 events.
According to the Armenian side, both former officials are currently in Russia, but Russia has not yet agreed to hand them over to Yerevan.
