Yerevan will take all measures to eliminate the concerns that have arisen on the Iranian side, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while commenting on the strong statement by Iran’s ambassador, Khalil Shirgolami, regarding protest actions held in front of the diplomatic mission, APA reports.
“We are paying very close attention to the statements coming from Iran. We will take all necessary measures to ensure that no problems arise regarding the activities of the embassy of the friendly and brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran. Appropriate measures will be taken against individuals who cross the boundaries of the law. I know that administrative proceedings have already been initiated in several cases,” Pashinyan emphasized.
Note that the ambassador stated that Armenia is increasingly becoming a center of activity for forces hostile toward Iran.
He recalled that “in the most difficult moments, it was Tehran that always extended a helping hand to Yerevan.”
Since January 10, individuals gathering at protest actions held in front of the Iranian Embassy in Yerevan have been chanting offensive anti-regime slogans.
