A draft of the concept of constitutional reforms in Armenia has already been prepared, Armenia’s Ministry of Justice said, APA reports citing Armenian media.

The state body has not yet announced which articles of the country's basic law are planned to be revised, however, the ministry noted that the draft concept contains provisions on the form of ruling, the scope of the president's powers, the elimination of interaction between chapters 2 and 3, and the mention of social, economic and cultural rights in the chapter on fundamental human rights.

The draft also includes the establishment of state bodies and autonomous structures; as well as residency and citizenship censorship were introduced for a number of positions. Also a provision that envisages the transfer of state powers to private institutions is included in the draft.

The ministry noted that the constitutional reform commission is headed by lawyer David Akopyan. The full composition of the commission is not disclosed.
