Armenia can protect the Zvartnots airport by itself independently, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
The Armenia Minister said that his country that his country can independently carry out border protection at the Zvartnots airport of the capital city. According to him, there’s no need for Russia’s help.
According to Mirzoyan, the presence of Russian border guards was necessary as a support to the state during the time Armenia needed it: “Currently, there are institutional opportunities for independent implementation of the border service and we have informed the Russian side about it,” – the FM added.
