On September 16, political consultations were held in Paris between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and France, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
During the political consultations, Deputy Foreign Minister Vaan Kostanyan and the Head of the Continental Europe Department of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Brice Rochefay, discussed cooperation programs between the two countries in the fields of economy, infrastructure, defense, and culture, their future development and expansion prospects, as well as existing cooperation in international organizations and other multilateral platforms.
Within this framework, it was emphasized that continuous mutual support and additional efforts are needed to bring approaches closer on issues of mutual interest.
Issues related to the Armenia-European Union partnership agenda were touched upon.
Detailed discussions were held regarding the document on strategic partnership between Armenia and France and the timeline for its signing.
An exchange of views was also held on the most current regional and international topics. Reference was made to the agreements reached within the framework of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington, as well as the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Türkiye.
