The Prosecutor’s Office has filed an appeal against the verdict issued against Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhyan, head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
An appeal has been submitted to the Criminal Court of Appeal seeking a decision to sentence him to two years and six months of imprisonment.
It should be recalled that Armenian Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhyan was arrested on charges of calling for the violent overthrow of the government. He was sentenced to two years in prison.
