An earthquake with a magnitude of 6 has been recorded off the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Territory, APA reports, citing the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to the statement, the epicenter was located 233 kilometers from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 8.9 kilometers.
At present, no information has been provided about any destructive effects or tsunami threat.
Experts have warned that aftershocks may occur in the region.
