More than 30 thousand Armenians who voluntarily left Karabakh have received Armenian citizenship, said Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan at a press conference in Yerevan today, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
According to the minister, the number of those who received citizenship in December 2025 was slightly more than 26 thousand: "The vast majority of Armenians who received citizenship are those who applied in the second half of 2025."
Sargsyan said that the process of obtaining citizenship has been significantly simplified and accelerated. Previously, about 40 applications were received on the relevant platform per day, but now this figure has increased to 200.
The minister added that no application has been rejected so far.
