160,000 people drafted into military service in Russia

During the spring conscription in Russia, 160 thousand people were sent to military service, said Vladimir Tsimlyansky, head of the Main Organization and Mobilization Department of the Russian Armed Forces, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

According to him, the autumn conscription to the army will be carried out using the Unified Military Registration Register: "The autumn conscription will last from October 1 to December 31. In some regions of the Far North and territories considered equivalent to it, it will last from October 1 to December 31".

The Russian Ministry of Defense official also emphasized that the autumn conscription is not related to a "special military operation". He also noted that the term of military service of conscripts in Russia will not change: "Servicemen of active military service whose term has expired will be released to the reserve and sent to their places of residence. Conscripts will be sent only to units and military formations within Russia. Conscripts will not be involved in the tasks of the "special military operation". Electronic calls will be used for notification during the autumn call. Notifications about electronic calls will be sent to the personal accounts of Russian citizens on the "Gosuslugi" website. Failure to appear for an electronic call after 20 days will result in the adoption of restrictive measures against Russian citizens."
