Hamas military commander Mohammed Odeh was killed in a targeted strike in Gaza City last night, Defense Minister Israel Katz confirms, adding that Israel is advancing its goal of “voluntary emigration” from the Strip, The Times of Israel reports.
Odeh, who was appointed to the position last week, succeeded Izz al-Din al-Haddad, who was killed earlier this month.
“We pledged to eliminate everyone who led the October 7 massacre, and that is what we will do,” Katz writes. “They are all marked for death, everywhere.”
He also reiterates Israel’s goals of removing Hamas from power in Gaza and advancing what he describes as a “voluntary emigration” plan for the enclave.
“Everything at the right time and in the right manner.”
