Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office is looking to reschedule a meeting with the White House over its potential military operation in Rafah, according to a United States official, APA reports citing NBC News.

According to the source, senior Washington officials are currently trying to find a date for the meet-up. Israel canceled its visit to the US after the latter abstained from voting on a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, which was adopted.

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underlined his country would be conducting a military operation in Rafah and added that international pressure doesn't faze him, US National Security Council (NSC) Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said that Washington wants to offer Israel alternatives on how to eliminate Hamas "without conducting a major ground offensive" in the area.
