Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen called on Friday the resolution passed by the United Nations General Assembly on the humanitarian ceasefire "despicable", APA reports citing Teletrader.

"We directly reject the despicable call of the UN General Assembly for a ceasefire. Israel is going to eliminate Hamas the same way the world did with the Nazis and ISIS," Cohen said.

120 General Assembly members backed the resolution drafted by Arab countries. At the same time, 45, including the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and Germany, abstained, while 14, including Israel, the United States, Austria, Croatia, Czechia, and Hungary, opposed it.
