Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff, the country’s highest military staff body, and Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, its top joint operational command, said the US military was continuing to use the territory, airspace and facilities of regional countries to attack the Islamic Republic and its military sites, warning of a “much heavier” response, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
“Despite official statements by some countries in the region that they will never allow their territory, airspace or coastline to be used by the aggressor US military against Islamic Iran, and despite previous warnings, the US is still using the territory, airspace and facilities of those countries against our country and some Iranian military sites, and is carrying out attacks,” the two military bodies said in a joint statement.
“As we have demonstrated in practice so far, while respecting the national sovereignty of our neighbors, we will never tolerate any form of aggression and will deliver a much heavier response. We demonstrated an example of this last night through the brave fighters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Islamic Republic of Iran Army.”
