Iran has refuted the accusations of involvement in the capture of a ship in the Red Sea by the Yemeni Houthis, said Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), at a press conference that's being held today, APA reports.
Kanani rejected accusations by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office regarding Tehran's involvement in the seizure of the British-owned Galaxy Leader ship in the Red Sea, which was used by a Japanese operating company.
"We have repeatedly said that the resistance forces in the region act independently based on their interests and the interests of their people," Kanani emphasized.
