Reducing the level of uranium enrichment depends on the complete lifting of sanctions, said Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, APA reports, citing Iranian media.
“Lowering the level of uranium enrichment depends on whether the sanctions imposed on us are fully lifted,” Eslami said.
He added that Iran’s contacts with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are ongoing.
“We have contacts. However, the IAEA has still not fulfilled what it should have done regarding the attack on our nuclear facilities,” Eslami emphasized.
He also noted that the removal of uranium from the country is not on the agenda, adding that if such proposals have been made, they came from some countries seeking to contribute to the Iran–US dialogue.
“However, such an issue has not been discussed in talks with the United States,” the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization stated.
