The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has not found any nuclear weapons in Iran, but restrictions on inspector access prevented it from calling the country's nuclear program unambiguously peaceful, according to the agency's Director General, Rafael Grossi, APA reports.
"I have been very clear and consistent in my reporting on Iran's nuclear program: while there is no evidence that Iran is building a nuclear bomb, its significant stockpiles of uranium enriched to near-weapons-grade levels, and its refusal to grant my inspectors full access, are serious concerns," he wrote in X.
As Grossi explained, this is why previous reports stated that until Tehran cooperates in resolving outstanding safeguards issues, the IAEA "will not be able to confirm that Iran's nuclear program is exclusively peaceful in nature."
