CIA believes Iran retained 70% of its ballistic missiles after US strikes

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has concluded that Iran retained approximately 70% of its pre-war ballistic missile arsenal after the US air strikes, APA reports citing The Washington Post.

This information was confirmed to the publication by three sources familiar with the contents of the intelligence service's report to the US administration. According to one US official familiar with the intelligence findings, "Iran retained approximately 75% of its pre-war stockpile of mobile launchers and approximately 70% of its missile arsenal," the article states.

In addition, CIA analysts believe that Iran was able to access underground arsenals buried under rock as a result of the bombings, repair some of the damaged missiles, and produce new ones.

According to The Washington Post, before the outbreak of hostilities, Iran's arsenal may have numbered around 2,500 ballistic missiles, as well as several thousand kamikaze drones.
