Baku-APA. U.S. wholesale prices fell in November for the third consecutive month as energy prices retreated, U.S. Labor Department reported Friday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The Producer Price Index (PPI), which measures price changes at factory gates, dipped 0.1 percent in November on seasonally adjusted basis, following a 0.2 percent decline in October.

Energy prices went down 0.4 percent last month, the second consecutive monthly drop, and food costs stayed unchanged.

Excluding the volatile food and energy sectors, the so-called "core" wholesale prices edged up 0.1 percent in November from October, which indicated the general inflation pressure is still tamed.
