Two "Brazilian" family members found dead after fire in Shiga, western Japan

Baku-APAA woman and a child were found dead on Wednesday morning following a fire in the western Japanese prefecture of Shiga, APA reports quoting local press.

The fire broke out at around 3:00 a.m. local time at a company- owned family home in Konan City of the prefecture and the initial fire further spread to nearby three houses built in a residential zone of the city, according to Nippon Hoso Kyokai (NHK), Japan's public broadcaster.

The report said that local fire crews extinguished the blaze by 7:00 a.m. but they found the bodies of two people inside the two- story family home where the fire started.

Although the victims have yet to be officially identified, they are believed to be a 31-year-old Brazilian mother and her 7-year- old son living in the wooden house which was totally destroyed by the fire. The fire was reported, her husband was away from them, being at work, the report added.

A joint police and fire department investigation has been carried out to establish the cause of the blaze.
