Baku-APA Brazil and Argentina have agreed to deepen cooperation on cyber security through the exchange of information, APA reports quoting XInhua.

Brazilian Defense Minister Celso Amorim and his Argentine counterpart, Agustin Rossi, said Thursday that bilateral cooperation in this field will start right now, while regional cooperation will be developed within the framework of the defense council of the Union of South American Nations.

The two countries will promote greater exchange of information between officials in armed forces who specialize in cyber security, the ministers told a press conference after their meeting here.

They begun talks on a bilateral cooperation agenda, especially on a joint cyber defense strategy, in their September meeting in Buenos Aires.

Brazil's concerns over cyber security have increased after the revelation of U.S. spying on Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, her closest aides, and the country's oil giant Petrobras.

The two ministers also discussed the project of KC-390 military transport plane, which is coordinated by Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer.

The Argentine minister expressed intention to purchase the Brazilian Guarani armored vehicle.
