Baku-APA. A 17 year-old man was injured by apparent gun shot in the Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, the capital city of the U.S. Hawaii State. The campus has been placed under a lockdown after the incident, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The young man was sent to hospital in serious condition at around 8:30 a.m. local time (1830 GMT).
Honolulu paramedics did not confirm that the injured person was a student, the Hawaii News Now reported.
A suspect has been taken into custody, but details of the incident remain unclear at this point, the reports said.
Students and parents of the school were told that all students would be released at 10:00 a.m. (2000 GMT) due to "a campus incident."
Honolulu is more than 2,000 miles (about 3,200 kilometers) southwest from the U.S. West Coast.
