President Donald Trump laid out his plans for destroying Iran’s enriched uranium, saying it will either be transported to the United States, dealt with on-site or taken to another location, APA reports citing CNN.
“The Enriched Uranium (Nuclear Dust!) will either be immediately turned over to the United States to be brought home and destroyed or, preferably, in conjunction and coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran, destroyed in place or, at another acceptable location, with the Atomic Energy Commission, or its equivalent, being witness to this process and event,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Monday.
Trump told reporters in the Oval Office last week that the United States would not bend on recovering Iran’s enriched uranium, but this statement expresses openness to Tehran’s involvement in the process.
“We’ll probably destroy it after we get it, but we’re not going to let them have it,” Trump said Thursday.
