Ahmed Erentok: Shamkir Poultry Farm maintains normal operation

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-Economics. The recent negative developments in poultry farms in Azerbaijan have affected Shamkir Poultry Farm too, said Ahmed Erentok, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ATA-Holding, the parent company of Shamkir Poultry Farm.
According to him, a hike in the prices of bird foods last year increased the cost price of poultry products in Azerbaijan.
â€œWith the support of ATA-Holding, we managed to overcome the problem. At present the poultry farm runs on the normal schedule of operation. The annual capacity is 30 million eggs and 2 000 tons of chicken meat,â€ he added.
He also noted that Israeli specialists have been hired to modernize the farm.
Shamkir Poultry Farm markets eggs and chicken under the brands of â€œKendâ€.
Established in 2003, ATA-Holding includes 3 companies in the financial sector, 12 in industrial and trade sectors, 8 in construction and service sectors, 2 in energy sector and 3 in communications and IT sectors.
