At least 30 people were killed after two vessels collided in northwestern Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Associated Press reported.
Dozens of people are missing following the accident.
The Congolese Press Agency said 57 people had been rescued. Search and rescue operations are currently underway.
The collision occurred on the Congo River. One of the vessels was traveling from Businga to the capital, Kinshasa, while the other was heading from Kinshasa to Lukolela.
One of the vessels was carrying 163 people. The number of people aboard the other vessel has not been disclosed.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
