Shakhriyar Mamedyarov draws second round in Tal memorial

Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. Azerbaijani chess player Shakhriyar Mamedyarov has made his second draw in the Mikhail Tal memorial tournament in Moscow, Russia.
The 23-year-old drew with Alexander Morozevich (Russia) with whites in the 31st move. The encounters of Vladimir Kramnik (Russia) - Peter Leko (Hungary), Evgeny Alekseev (Russia) - Ruslan Ponomariov (Ukraine), Boris Gelfand (Israel) - Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine) ended in draws as well. Gata Kamsky (USA) beat Alexei Shirov (Spain) in this round. Ivanchuk, Kramnik and Morozevich have scored 1.5 points in 2 rounds. Mamedyarov lacks 0.5 points to catch up with the leaders. Morozevich - Kramnik, Leko - Shirov, Ponomariov - Mamedyarov, Ivanchuk - Alekseev, Kamsky – Gelfand are the encounters for round 3.
The competition to last till August 27 will be followed be two-day blitz tournament with 18 attendees.
