Acting Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov on Thursday met with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yukiya Amano, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
Heydarov said that Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations closely cooperates with international organizations, including the IAEA, emphasizing the importance of joint activity to implement a number of projects.
The minister also spoke about the importance of expanding the cooperation between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and the IAEA.
IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the implementation of joint successful projects and underscored the need to further expand the cooperation between the two bodies.
Moreover, the sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
