As of February 1, 2018, number of workers in Azerbaijan’s economy made up 1,508,400, including 881,000 workers in state sector, 627,400 in non-state sector.
According to the State Statistical Committee, 22% hired workers in were in education, 19.3% in trade; repair of transport facilities, 13.1% in industry, 8.7% in medical and social service for population, 5.9% in construction, 4.7% in transport and storehouse, 3.4% in professional, scientific and technical activity, 3.2% in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 1.6% in finance and insurance and 10.9% in other spheres.
Average monthly salary of the wageworkers rose 3% to AZN 519.8.
