Baku will host the first four-sided meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish, Iranian and Georgian foreign ministers – Elmar Mammadyarov, Mevlut Cavusoglu, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Mikheil Janelizde respectively, the Foreign Ministry told APA.
The foreign ministers will discuss strengthening peace, stability and security in the region on a quadrilateral basis, as well as developing cooperation in various fields, including economy, transport, energy, tourism and culture.
On 6 September 2017, Baku hosted the 6th trilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian foreign ministers. The fifth trilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani, Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers was held on 20 December 2017.
