Education cannot be imagined without access to the internet, said Azerbaijan’s Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.

He made the remarks at a meeting of the PACE Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development, which was held in Baku June 1, APA reported.

The minister noted that everyone is aware that the Internet along with the benefits can pose a threat.

“Internet filtering is available in educational institutions in Azerbaijan. They have no access to the websites that promote radicalism and are contrary to the law. However children don’t use internet only at schools. Thus, it is important to patronize children. Children under a certain age may register in some social networks. We are conducting explanatory work to prevent negative impact on children's psychology and personality,” he added.
