Azerbaijan interested in developing relations with PACE on basis of mutual respect

Azerbaijan is interested in developing relations with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the basis of mutual respect, said Valeh Alasgarov, vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

He was addressing a meeting of the PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons in Baku March 15.

The vice-speaker noted that the European Union has faced difficulties in resolving the problems of nearly two million refugees while Azerbaijan did serious work towards a solution of the problems of over one million refugees.

“If the world community demonstrated a fair position beyond double standards on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the world wouldn’t have faced such problems today,” said Alasgarov, wishing success the PACE Committee in its further activities.
