Anna Cekuta, the spouse of US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta, has attended the opening of 500m road in Surra village of Azerbaijan’s Sabirabad district after reconstruction, APA’s local bureau reported.
Representative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and local residents also attended the event. This project was financed by the USAID and Azerbaijani government.
Anna Cekuta said that this project is the support of the US to the Azerbaijani people.
“This cooperation is a manifestation of sincere relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and the US. The reconstruction of this road would improve access of Surra village with 1,300 residents to district center, especially during emergency cases. These projects will be continued in the future,” she added.
