An official reception was held on Friday at the Baku State Philharmonic to mark the 99th anniversary of Lithuania’s independence.
The event was joined by representatives of the diplomatic corpse accredit in Azerbaijan, MPs, and public-political figures, APA reported.
Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Valdas Lastauskas spoke about his country’s history of independence, praising Azerbaijan as a key partner of Lithuania in many areas.
First Deputy of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov noted that Azerbaijan-Lithuania relations are developing in an upward trend.
The event proceeded with a performance from Lithuanian singer Judita LeitaitÄ— and pianist AudronÄ— JuozauskaitÄ—.
