The Congress of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis in Donetsk told APA that the incident occurred two days ago in Melitopol city of Zaporizhia region.
38-year-old Aslanov Vadim living near Velyka Novoselka city, with his family was intercepted by masked men on their way to Crimea going for vocation.
After hitting the car, the masked men demanded money and jewelry threatening Aslanov with a gun. Hitting him with the rifle butt, the bandits stole $10,000 and jewelry.
Though the issue was studied from the Azerbaijan’s embassy in Ukraine, the embassy’s secretary for consular affairs, Abbas Mustafayev refused to answer questions.
