Ekrem Eylisli refuses to publish new novel

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. People’s writer Ekrem Eylisli does not want to publish his new novel. The writer told APA that he did not want to publish his novel and give it to his friends. He wanted his books to be sold.
“I will agree if the publishing house agrees to manage the sale of the book. A writer should earn money from his book,” he said.

Ekrem Eylisli mentioned that writers’ works were published during Soviet times and they received honorarium from the books.
“275,000 copies of my book were published in Moscow. For long years I kept my family with honorarium,” he said.

Ekrem Eylisli said his new novel “Dash yukhular” (Stone dreams) was about a man, who protested to injustice, was beaten and fell into com, and recalled his life in comatose state.
As regards writing a book about the parliament, Ekrem Eylisli said:
“I have always written about inner world of people. I can not write unless I see people’s inner world. I can not see inner world of parliamentarians,” he said.
