According to Ministry, the meeting was also attended by the Chairman of Azerbaijan Employers Confederation (AEC) Mammad Musayev.
They discussed tobacco growing issues in the meeting.
The representatives of tobacco producing and processing enterprises proposed exemption of the seeds from import, allocation of preferential loans for tobacco growing sphere and subsidization of tobacco production and the proposals were discussed.
It was underlined that stimulating measures will be taken for increase of interests in this sphere, farmers will be able to get referential loans and access to the agroleasing services. As a result of works, the sown areas for tobacco will be enlarged to 3,000 hectares.
All of these will significantly increase the employment level and double number of workers to 8,000.
Representatives of tobacco producing and processing enterprises said first sort of tobacco will be received for AZN 0.25 a kg (AZN 0.16 in 2015), second sort of tobacco for AZN 0.15 a kg (AZN 0.08 in 2015)
