Baku. Farid Mirzayev – APA. In September Armenian armed forces violated ceasefire with Azerbaijan 828 times on various parts of the frontline.

 

According to the results of the APA’s monitoring based on the reports confirmed by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, the enemy forces, using 60mm- and 82mm-caliber mortars and heavy machine guns, made several attempts to commit provocative acts. The opposing side was silenced by retaliatory fire, and all its attempts were prevented.

 

In September, the highest number of ceasefire violations on the Karabakh front was recorded in the Aghdam part of the frontline, with a total of 229 times.

 

The ceasefire was violated 171 times in Fuzuli, 83 times in Terter, 58 times in Khojavand and 51 times in Jabrayil.

 

The Armenian military, which attempted to escalate the tension along the border with Azerbaijan, violated ceasefire 104 times in Goranboy, 59 times in Gazakh, 27 times in Gadabay, 24 times in Tovuz, 15 times in Goygol and 7 times in Aghstafa district.

 

In September, 18 Armenian soldiers, including the two members of the Armenian subversive group were killed, a number of soldiers wounded.

 

Four Azerbaijani servicemen – Mammadov Elshan, Valiyev Rauf, Ahmadzadeh Neman and Mustafaze Namig were killed during the reporting period, and three more servicemen received slight shrapnel wounds.

 

One more unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armenian armed forces was destroyed in September. The Armenian armed forces’ drone, which was supposedly to be a Krunk-25 tactical UAV, was detected and destroyed by the air defense units of the Azerbaijani air forces while attempting to fly over Azerbaijani armed forces’ positions in the direction of Aghdam district of the frontline.

 

Armenian armed units violated ceasefire 836 times in August.
