Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. AZN 194.1 mln or 62% of insurance premiums collected in January-August 2015 came from voluntary insurance types, up 5.1% from previous year, said the head of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.
Premiums on compulsory insurance types stood at AZN 118.8 mln or 38% of market, up 20.4% from previous year.
75.3% or AZN 87.5 mln of payments went to voluntary types, up 15% by contrast to a year earlier. Compulsory insurance payments rose 4.4% to AZN 28.7 mln or 24.7% of total market.
AZN 45.1 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium from voluntary type during the reporting period. This figure was AZN 41.2 last year. Payment for each AZN 100 on compulsory insurance type fell to AZN 24.1 from AZN 27.8.
