Baku to host International Jazz Festival

Baku. Javid Zeynalli – APA. The International Jazz Festival will be held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Culture Fund of Azerbaijan in Baku from October 19 to 30.

The festival will bring together prominent jazz performers from around the world, the ministry told APA.

As part of the festival, world-famous musicians—the Terri Lyne Carrington Quartet, the Terence Blanchard Quintet, the Anat Cohen Quartet, the Michel Camilo Trio, Stanley Clarke’s group, the Craig Taborn Trio, Trilok Gurtu’s group, and others—will perform at the Heydar Aliyev Palace, the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall, International Mugham Center, and Jazz Center.

At the same time, Azerbaijan’s prominent musicians—Salman Gambarov, Jamil Amirov, Rain Sultanov, Mirjavad Jafarov, Elchin Shirinov, Zaur Mirzayev, and young talented jazz musicians will perform solos at festival concerts.
