Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloghlu – APA. The State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations has today held an event on awarding head of the Albanian-Udin Christian Community Robert Mobili “Shohret” (Glory) order under Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s order, APA reports.
Delivering a speech at the event, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli said that Mobili was awarded for his merits in socio-political life of Azerbaijan.
He said Mobili is making efforts toward exposing occupying Armenia’s lies over the Christian monuments of Albanians. The Albanian-Udin Christian Community and Mobili play a special role in the preservation of religious tolerance in Azerbaijan. Then Gurbanli presented “Shohret” order to Mobili.
Mobili noted that President Ilham Aliyev’s appreciating the Albanian-Udin Christian Community and awarding him are the manifestation of the state care.
“We are receiving this order on behalf of independent Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan’s independence is a great support for us. Azerbaijan is a historical homeland for the Udins and we must protect our homeland”.
Following this, Haji Salman Musayev, Deputy Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Board and heads of religious communities in Azerbaijan delivered speeches and congratulated Mobili.
