The court decided to send the case back to Nasimi District Court, lawyer Elmar Valiyev told APA.
On July 15, Nasimi District Court considered a petition submitted by investigation agency to extend Rauf Mirgadirov’s prison term and passed a judgment to extend his prison term to 4 months. Later on, an appeal was filed against the judgment and case was sent to Baku Court of Appeal.
Mirgadirov was deported to Azerbaijan after he was detained in Turkey on April 29. He faced charges under the Criminal Code’s article #274 (high treason).
