Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA that the Azerbaijani side was represented by Head of Consular Affairs Department of the Foreign Ministry Mehriban Najafova and Croatian side by Chief of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Vinko Ljubicic at consultations held on April 15.
The importance of the continuation of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia in various spheres and current consultations in the enhancement of consular cooperation was emphasized at the meeting.
The sides also discussed eliminating current difficulties in visa issuance, conducting consular operations, regulation of migration processes, including legalization of illegal migrants, procedures of adapting migrants to local conditions, studying readmission experience of persons illegally residing between Croatia and the European Union, mechanisms of implementing readmission agreements, prospects for future cooperation.
