In a meeting with Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov Iranian President Rouhani said that Iran is determined to boost relations with neighboring countries, including Azerbaijan.
In the meantime, the Kamaladdin Heydarov presented Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s message to his Iranian counterpart.
Heydarov said the resolve of the Iranian President Rouhani and that of President Aliyev to bolster Tehran-Baku ties would bear fruit.
Azerbaijani Minister said that the governments of the two neighboring nations are willing to develop economic and cultural cooperation in light of the longstanding cultural and religious affinities.
Referring to an imminent visit to Iran by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, Heydarov said that the Azeri government is determined to use the positive climate provided by the government of President Rouhani who was elected in a landslide victory on June 14 presidential election.
